This seated figure of Christ points with the index finger of his right hand to the symbol of the burning heart on his chest. He is dressed in traditional Javanese princely robes and adorned with traditional princely jewelry. This statue served as the model for the later version in white trachyte, which was placed in the Sacred Heart Chapel in Ganjuran. It is on loan from the Schmutzer family to the Missiemuseum Steyl.
